1. about the forum

the east lake international forum for outstanding overseas young scholars(east lake forum) aims at gathering outstanding young scientists and technologists all over the world to interact and discuss emerging frontiers in science and technology. the forum covers a wide range of disciplines including mathematics, physics,chemical engineering & materials science, engineering, information science, bioscience, humanities, social sciences and medicine. through presentations and discussions, the forum will foster cross-disciplinary exchange and cooperation among the meeting participants in emerging scientific and technological fields and contribute to sustainable development.

2. requirements for applicants

to be eligible to apply, you must:

s be under 40 years of age as of december 31, 2014

s hold a doctoral degree from a world renowned university or a from a chinese university with at least 2-year overseas working experience

s have shown innovation and potential in your area of focus (science, engineering, economics, management, humanities and social sciences etc.)

4. schedule

dec 28: all-day check-in

dec 29-30: opening ceremony, invited speeches and presentations

participants can enjoy travel reimbursement (￥10,000 top), free accommodation and catering during the forum.
